Dr. Rachel Cook, Principal
Dr. Rachel Cook serves as our Principal at Gladeville Elementary School. She began her teacher training at Middle Tennessee State University, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. Dr. Cook then pursued a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction from Middle Tennessee State University. Then, she received an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Lipscomb University. She earned her Ed.D degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis at East Tennessee State University. This is her 3rd year serving as Principal of Gladeville Elementary. She served as Assistant Principal at West Elementary for six years. As a teacher, she worked at Gladeville Elementary, Carroll-Oakland Elementary, and Tucker's Crossroads Elementary here in Wilson County.
She has been married to her husband, Brandon, for 20 years. Brandon is also an educator and serves as the Technology Supervisor for Wilson County Schools. They have five wonderful children; Faith, Tucker, Molly, Jack, and Hattie Joy. In her free time, she enjoys horseback riding and working on their farm in Lebanon. Rachel loves the Wilson County community and has called it home for many years! She and her husband both grew up in Mt. Juliet and graduated from Mt. Juliet High School.
Mrs. Amy Dunlap, Assistant Principal
Amy Dunlap serves as assistant principal at GES. She earned her education degree from Texas A&M University and her Master’s degree from Carson-Newman University. In addition, she has over twenty years of teaching experience in Tennessee, Washington, and Texas!
With her husband of 30 years, she has raised three children in Wilson County schools and loves spending time with them. Her family enjoys camping, kayaking, talking about good books, and laughing with each other. Mrs. Dunlap is excited to continue as the GES assistant principal to help our Gators grow!
